Cutteslowe Community Larder

We are passionate about Shaping a thriving community together with Cutteslowe. One of the ways we do this is through the Cutteslowe Community Larder. Each Wednesday Cutteslowe Connected Church, in partnership with Cutteslowe Community Centre, runs a Community Larder. The food is mainly supplied through SOFEA  and the generosity of the local community.

The Cutteslowe Community larder was set up during COVID-19 lock down one. Since that time the Community Larder has evolved from simply providing food to the community into a community hub with a number of aims.

  1. Combatting food poverty

  2. Reducing food waste

  3. Helping build the Cutteslowe Community

  4. Practically demonstrating the love of Jesus

To help achieve these aims the larder partners with a number of organizations to deliver wrap around services:

This weekly food and community event based in Cutteslowe Community Centre is open to all. Membership provides benefits beyond The Larder, including a community café and access to community support and advice. Members pay a nominal monthly fee of £14 via direct debit to access a weekly shop and the opportunity to chat over free refreshments. Subsidised memberships are available for those who need.

The Larder Team

We have a growing team of over 50 volunteers who help lead, run, volunteer and deliver the community larder week by week. We are always on the lookout for volunteers who would like to come and join the team, serving out community.
